I had a 19 foot, similar design; one thing I experienced was that WITH the wind, she took off like a shot, but in the wind, it was hard to make any progress--at all. Once, 1/2 hour towards Catalina, I checked the GPS--1/2 hour made 1/2 mile, almost no forward motion of any kind. And the wind from the side, port or starboard, horrible really. Radoncraft has a reputation second to none, but I do wonder about that tall Pilot House--mine was a two edged sword, great to keep me dry and out of the sun, for sure, but tough going in the wind.

A lot of people ask about the big pilot house on a smaller skiff... for me going to catalina into the wind hasn’t been an issue at all. The 115 is more than enough power even loaded up. Down wind on a drift is hard because she makes like 2kts. A drift sock would be a nice addition.

Yep working on drawings for a mexicat rn.
Post some updates along the process if mexicat is cool with it. Those are cool boats, always thought it would be fun to build something with them
