Instead of capping the nidacore with wood, you can fill it with fairing compound and then hit it with a router so you can keep it 100% wood free. That cap looks like it’ll work just fine too though

Looking good. Looks like you just glassed right over the duct tape holding the wood caps in place?

yes, really the substrate is nothing more than a form. Or a reverse form for that matter. all the strength comes from the glass.

Looks like some type of closed cell foam for the bulkhead cores? Curious why the switch from the honeycomb core? It's looking good, keep it rolling!

yeah, when i did the main stringers i left the existing stringers in tact and then sandwiched them on either side with the 1/2" honeycomb. i switched to the 2" core material because it is virtually free and easy to use. in hindsight doing it all out of the 2" would have been a bit cheaper. at the end of the day, it is all about the glass

How big is your vent hose on that tank? I'm asking bc I have a 3/8 fuel vent hose on mine and it's a absolute cnut to fill. I'm thinking I should have gone w half inch.

You're moving fast. Is that gelcoat in the bilge or bilge paint? What is the construction of the deck? Looking good!
