Hi BD family

I am pretty new when it comes to Truline rods/blanks. I recently purchased a Truline VBG that was wrapped. It seems to be a marlin caster based on some research I have done so far.

First of I want to get a sense of what are this particular Truline is worth?

Can have this rewrapped by a rod builder? Or should I keep it as is?

Thank you so much for your input.

If it's one of those parabolic noodle Marlin casters it isn't worth much compared to the better Trulines. If it's original looking don't re-wrap it.

It has slight curve to it but I am not sure if it due to its age?
I meant the action of it.If it's got a slight curve it may have been stored up against a wall for a long time.

Well the it is rated 50 to 80 lbs. at least that is what the person who wrapped it, put the rating. Feels like a solid 40 lb rod.
