Left shelter island later then usual around 7 and picked up an awsome scoop of bait. Cleared the point in calm seas and headed south towards 425. Once to 425 area the place was alive with with birds bait and puddling bluefin. Chased school after school of tuna but they were extremely skittish.
To say there are a lot of paddys south of the 425 is an understatement. We stopped on at least 30 big paddys and some held some quality yellows. We ended up going 5 for 8 on the yellows and my buddy got a tiny dorado off one. There were other free swimmers with him but had lock jaw.
Water temp was 66 to 68 in the area we fished and slightly off colored but full of life. The weather was amazing the whole day and the wind never really came up. Good luck.
