Met up at 5 am with the guys in King Harbor. We loaded up the boat and were baited up just after 6am with some of the best bait we have had all season. Redondo has killer bait right now (Dines and Chovies). Price per scoop was $40 which is $10 higher then Nachos, but we paid for convenience...
First we worked the PV coastline then headed out to the ridge in 250'. We did a few drifts before metering the right kind on the Furuno and 10 minutes later Brian had a nice 20# YT on the boat. We hooked up a few of the wrong kind, but kept at it hoping for more YT. A few hours later we headed back to the PV coastline for none of the right kind. It was a really nice day today and we even got to see the fog roll in and before we know it it was clear again.
The seals were a pain in the ass today. I got to try out some "Siracha BombDines for the first time too. They seem to work ok, but I definitely missed the wrist rocket.
All in all it was a beautiful day on the water with scratchy fishing but with some great company.

Seals have become a real pest. I don't remember it being this bad 5 years ago.

I just squirted the Siracha sauce right into the belly of the Dines (behind the Gills) with it's own bottle... Crude, but effective...

Hypothetically of course because I heard you can't legally serve up 'tainted' food to the fur bags without getting in trouble. I seem to remember some old posts that say you can't do the pepper filled mackerel etc. I may be mistaken, but check to make sure.
