Taking advantage of my day off from work decided to go fishing on the Pusuit out of 22nd street. First time time fishing the boat and was impressed by how hard the crew worked and how clean the boat was maintained before, during and after the trip. Captain Gus friendly and helpful, Thomas the cook made a good double cheeseburger to feed my fat shell, and the deckhand Jonathan ( hope I’m getting your name correct) was very helpful and always ready on the deck helping anglers when needed.

Captain Gus gets an A for effort. Gus made arrangements with the Pacific Carnage to get some squid. We went all the way around the island and came home late to try and get us on fish. Will definitely fish this boat again when the stars align that allow me to get on the water.

Typical results for this time of year. Limits of quality cod and my buddy got the only yellow tail on the boat. I did catch one short WSB and Halibut fishing reverse dropper loop fishing the emerald green water next to the beach. I guess still a little early and the water is just not there yet but the quality fish are around the corner.

If your looking for a 6am to 6pm boat that works hard try the Pursuit.

    Thanks again captain and crew

Great time on the boat today.

Thanks for the report, hopefully there will be better conditions next week. I'm planning to head over Friday for an overnighter.... God willing and the river don't rise (with apologies to John Wayne) :D

Yes, Gus and John run a great operation. And the deckhand's name is Jeremy, a very hard working young man.

They even put your fish in the REFRIGERATED FISH HOLD to keep your fish fresh. Made some great sashimi out of the yellowtail because it was well cared for by the crew.
