Just curious what prop you guys are running on your motor. I'm turning a 15x13.5 aluminum and getting 6000 rpm at wot. Operation range is (5300-6300) Thinkin bout using this for a spare and buying stainless.Any thoughts or feedback on this subject would be Great! Thx Dale (Boat 21ft bayrunner Baja)

6,000 WOT is perfect. You have the right prop.

The rev limiter starts to kick in at 6,300.....

Am I under proped? My boat moves well and gets right on plane? Pretty sure I got a stock prop.

Chad is there any advantage going with a stainless prop. I,d have to go with a 14 or 16 pitch if I decided to go that route? Thx Dale

There are some advantages with stainless but when those props are $300+, I would say fish what you got and spend the money elsewhere.

On my 19' Bayrunner Baja with Yamaha F115, I switched from a 21" @ 5600rpm to a 19" pitch alum 3 blade prop but I haven't had a chance to test it at WOT but should be spot on.

15 pitch seems low for an aluminium boat and the RPM you're reporting is at the high end. Is it a Yamaha prop? Does it have cupping?

There are cheaper stainless props for this motor. Solas makes decent props for this motor in the $225 range.
