They are misleading just to get more bids.... if it’s too good to be true it probably is.... The trailer is worth more than the starting price.... but I went ahead and threw a $20k bid on it just to see... Immediate message was “another priority bidder had outbid me” so they don’t change the start price of $8k even if there are a
Bunch of bids higher.... still at $8k even though I bid $20k and was outbid at that.... think will probably sell North of $100k.... there’s a lot of machine there...

I’ve bid on stuff at govplanet before, never been successful. Like ebay, you can put your maximum bid down and price will go up in increments until the highest price is reached.

Looking at the history, a nearly identical auction sold for $43K on July 29th.

It is nice to know that our tax dollars can be spent so frivolously, to buy half million dollar piece of equipment to sell after 50 hours for 10% of what it cost.

If you ever went out to the base at Yermo you would be amazed at what is out there. Acre after acre of wrecked humvees, trucks, tanks etc. The roads are lined with miles of coiled up used tank treads. When they close a base all of the furniture, refrigerators, beds, mattresses etc. just gets piled in an open lot where they are exposed to the elements. The buildings, and there are a bunch of them, are filled with pallet after pallet of uniforms, blankets, radios, tools, tents etc. If it is something the military doesn't want or doesn't need it ends up at Yermo.
