Went out yesterday with my family for a test run, we a received great half scoop of bait and motored out to a depth of 90' in front of Crystal pier. The swells were bouncing the boat around pretty good and my 4 & 5 yr old girls were pretty green. We set up 3 rods since the boat was drifting sideways. In about 15 minutes one of the rods goes off and I start to bring it in, once I have the fish near the top I ask my wife to get the gaff and the net ready......well she can not reach either of them in the overhead rod holders. I turn around to check what we had on the line and the next thing I know she has climbed up on the tackle center and is trying to pull them from the holders.....almost lost her over the side when we were hit by a good swell. All was well in the end. Here is our 28" dinner.

Thats so rad!!! Sounds like your wife is a good sport. That pressure between "Were just about to catch fish" and "One of the kids on the boat is about to hurl" is all too familiar! At least you got the fish before the ocean got fertilized!!!
