Left Hawaii Kai on the Malia Linda around 7.30. (Capt. Jerry is snowboarding in Whistler). Weather report was kinda funky so decided to work the inside.
Hit the 40 fathom and headed toward the Wrecks. Lots of malolo in the water.
See a mahi bird pile a mile and a half outside.
Go through pile and birds start disappearing . Then ping port rigger pops.
Mahi on ,clear inside lines and get a bait ready. Get fish close to boat and snap, center rigger rubber band snaps, yeah!! double on.
Gaff first and second fish in ice box 5 mins later.
Set up again and head to portlock point.
Hit the ledge by the pinnacle and head in. About a mile out center rigger, with a lure we call 4 to 1(Bomboy Locknut), snaps another mahi on.
Set up again head out to make another loop, on second pass, ping there goes the center again. Sink the gaff and head in.
    Washing boat by 11 am
Great morning. Thanks Capt. Jerryd for the boat pass and Bomboy for 4 to 1.

Sounds like a great morning. Catching the fish in pairs is always fun.

quick and dirty, NICE! You averaged little over a fish an hour, not bad for 3.5hrs! Your write up made me remember how awesome it feels when going through an area and expecting a knockdown. That feeling of fish on is amazing. Have not been on the water since OCT and Im getting the itch. Seeing all these great write ups help ease the pain, but there starting to make me a little jealous.
