Almost the exact same specs as the 175HW, but with 600W and for 1/4-1/3rd the price - about $340 street price and a transom mount. Actually has a bit wider cone angle at 30 vs 25 - this thing is covering 54m at 100m depth! If this can paint targets at around 200ft it might be a deal. Small boats probably can't carry enough bait to chum them up from deeper than that anyway.

The 'so-cal standard' 175hw for comparison:

I have the 175hw on my 21ft boat. Have no issues. It holds bottom at 20-25 mph ( fast as I go) up to 350ft ( deep as I go). it is normal size and not huge like the 175.
I pick out salmon 250-300 ft deep. 5 stars from me.

The other plus is it uses the same airmar mount as their lesser ducers so you dont have to drill new holes.
