That would be so nice. When I receive my South Coast Pacific Mag the first thing I do is flip to the back page for the article's on Looking Astern.
Local history is interesting and inportant.

Like this 40's reel? I've got a 1918 at home. Looks like a toy.

Yes, some of my favorite posts are ones about old jigs, gear used in the 50's-80s that ive seen pop up on the classified, rod building, or reel forums from time to time. Itd be cool if they could be acessed in one place. Ive learned a lot from these BD posts.

Ah Frank, we do think alike. I do the exact same thing. Was saddened when I saw the passing of Ed. Thought that column may become history, but they still have it going. May have to make up one of those bicycle rim or coat hanger sand dab rigs some day.....would be fun to try....once, maybe...

    Fishing history?

I just went through hundreds of old photos from the 50's through the 80's at the San Diego Marlin Club.

I'm going to scan some of the best ones and post them up soon.

Anyone who would like to check out a "fishing museum" should come down to the Marlin Club and check it out on the weekends in the afternoon, usually 2-5pm.

We will be there today BBQing after 3pm.
