My original Calcutta's,Toriums, green Curados and Curado 300DSV are all still going fine. They don't have dartanium drag washers and the Toriums click when I turn the handle. They'll all last another decade or so. They only need parts if they break. I did get a part for the Curado 200 from ebay since Shimano dropped support. If I don't drop it again it'll be fine.

I'm guessing they don't make it because they don't want to support another companies product. When the Butterfly system came out these were gone. Still got mine, darn good idea.

The rod clamp hardware that comes with Trinidad A and the new Toriums is simply unusable - I've seen the ears on the bolts shear off while on a fish and have heard many similar complaints. Also, the hardware won't fit on many reel seats or jigsticks with a bigger diameter blank. Yes, you can spend $50 extra with a Tib clamp, but Shimano should just get it right to begin with.

I agree!! The Trinidad 20A is touted as the best surface iron reel yet the stock bolts are too short for most deckhand rods. At least the reel could have come with 2 sets of bolts so you use the stock clamp on the $500 reel

over 30 + Years of Fishing all my Shimano pretty Hard
I've only Had a problem with , Two of them
that they took Care of ,that's pretty Good, if you take care of them
they Will take of You, but they
were made for Fishing only , and will not hold up
if you Drag them behind your Truck
or Beat them with a Hammer
    Just Saying.

A lower price point two speed. I love my talica 10ii but couldn't justify the price of buying a 12ii when I could get a penn fathom 2 speed for half the price.

For sure!! A lower gear option for Trinidads would be awesome!! Ocea Jigger PGs have a 5:1 why not offer it on Trinidads!! My older Saltigas blow the doors off of my Trinidads due to the torque delivered by the 4:9:1 ratio!!

Trinidads in a 4:1 gear ratio for the love of God!!! If a ocea jigger comeback isn't a thought, at least a TN40 with a 4:1 ratio would more then do!
