With what I’ve been reading … it sounds like Costra’s aren’t up to what they used to be … I’m seeing some excellent feedback…So, I have bought many Costa's, along the way, and I use the heck outta them. I have had 580G and 580P, many different models. They seem to discontinue styles I like, so I cannot but more. The lenses get scratched, but Costa does not seem to be able to replace them at a reasonable fee. I have bought aftermarket 580P replacements, but am not thrilled about Costas customer service or replacement options. The 580G are nice optics. Way too pricey for the most part, but nice to have a quiver of options for different conditions. Knock offs?
Of coarse I’d love to own a pair of Costa Del Mar’s with glass lens … But $!
I’ve always been partial to Grey lens for general suns up … suns going down …
If I was up in the wheel house I’d probably opt for a Blue lens …
When I used to fly fish a lot I’d opt for an Amber or Light Brown …
Anyone have a Brand name with polycarbonate polarized lens with good UV protection that you like and won’t break your bank account …
What color lens do you prefer when your running back and forth to the bait tank from sunup to sundown ?![]()
… you know when it’s a bit hazy or partly cloudy ?
Suggestions and opinions welcome …
You know sunglasses are like A-HOLES … everyone has a preference…
Jomashop in NY has crazy deals on authentic Costas. My last pair were $109 for 580 glass. I like the green mirrors but I don't have a frame that's super comfy for me. I've won several pairs in tournaments as out east costa is a super generous company. I have blue and green; fischers, and Rincon. I have Oakley with color emhancememy and also now am in to ray ban which are Oakley lens n only plastic. The thing is the frames fit. As far as lense, Maui jim or costa but I'm loyal to no company as getting comfy sunglasses with great lenses is something I'm still after. If only the raybans were glass. But try jomashop, the deals are great.Of coarse I’d love to own a pair of Costa Del Mar’s with glass lens … But $!

I haven’t heard of themI have seen Pelagic glasses recently, some sort of mineral glass listed. "the Mack" is one. Anyone use these yet?
I myself would buy from the new and fastest growing sunglass company in the United States I-SEA sunglasses hands down the best sunglasses for saltwater fishing for more than one reason first they are built with fisherman in mind very durable and second can’t beat the price they are very affordable, you can get 3 pair and still have enough cash left for a mad Mack or etc for the price of most other company’s glasses.Of coarse I’d love to own a pair of Costa Del Mar’s with glass lens … But $!

Good buddy of mine swears by them. Says they’re durable and the clarity is pretty good. He has said it could be better since it’s hard to get water off it easily but unless your slinging bait yourself their shouldn’t be problem.I have seen Pelagic glasses recently, some sort of mineral glass listed. I checked out their website and didn't see any info about them being built with fisherman in mind. They are cheap that's for sure. The website has a lot to be desired though.I myself would buy from the new and fastest growing sunglass company in the United States I-SEA sunglasses hands down the best sunglasses for saltwater fishing for more than one reason first they are built with fisherman in mind very durable and second can’t beat the price they are very affordable, you can get 3 pair and still have enough cash left for a mad Mack or etc for the price of most other company’s glasses.
