For the majority of it, yes.
The metallic cords are low strength craft cord from Michael's or Hobby Lobby. As long as it gets a couple coats of epoxy, it works well.

Chad, nice work. Do you epoxy everything or just if you use the lower quality hobby cord? Also are you removing the blue rubberized coating prior to wrapping or do you just wrap over the top? Thanks

I coat everything in D2 rod building epoxy, and yes I cut the rubber off the handles
