I'd like to ask a dumb question, Where is the Pinnacle out Waianae side?

What about "the Barge" ? Is that the yellow tesoro thing?

The pinnacle is about 8 miles straight out from Nanikuli point.

Yes the barge is that yellow thing. It actually pumps water used to make RO drinking water in Japan.

the tesoro mooring buoy is off barber's point, "da barge" is the water barge that used to outside of ko olina, i believe it has been moved a little north of there now.

Good point Mike as the water barge also looked yellow.

    Alden,
The pinnacle is 13 mi 53 degrees back to Waianae Harbor; on some of the more detailed maps there are a few pinnacles SE of that one also. As far as the water barge; go to S buoy and then follow the 500 fathom curve towards Barber's Point, you'll run right into it outside Nanakuli. It's a few miles from S buoy. Not a dumb question...

    Cheers
    Pat

Thanks, Pat. I didn't even know Hawaii marine charts were available on the net. That first one appears to be pretty recent. The water barge hasn't been in its present location for very long. It used to be much closer to Ko Olina, and it was originally sitting at 300 fathoms.
