Hi Quinn,

Welcome to our Phenix Rods 10 day trip on the mighty Excel! Your going to have a great time, fantastic crew and a great bunch of folks. I'm the Chartermaster and will continue to work on getting us more sponsor swag!!

I'll keep my ears open, in case another angler wants to share a room, night before our trip.

Expect the Rocks and the Ridge. The last two trips, we even made it down south to the lower banks to check on early cows. You never know what you may encounter. I would recommend a 50 size combo.

Hay Mel. I'm on that trip also. I am bringing
1 - 30# rig for light iron and small bait
2 - 40# rig
1 maybe 2 - 50# rigs
1 - 60# rig
1 - 80# rig
1 - 100# rig
1 - 130# rig.
1 rig for jigging/yoyoing
1 rig for heavy iron/bombs
Still need terminal tackle. Is the recommended list on the Excel website for 10 day trips pretty accurate for what I need?

I'll bring a 30#, 2x40#, 2x50#, 60 & 80. Maybe 100 rather than 80 depending on conditions when we get closer to trip time. Certainly didn't need big guns this year. I'll bring a Bass stick too!

Hey Albin,

You got it covered. Even for the big tuna! Normally, Ridge and Rocks will produce wahoo, yellowtail and small to mid-size tuna. If time permits, we always go looking down below. You never know what might show up early.

Can't wait to get out and get the line wet!!

Looking good Mark! Never forget the bass gear!! 40 & 50 is the most common size.

See you on the trip!

Hey when are you arriving? We get in a day and a half early to "top off" shop at Squidco etc...
