Penta 260A

Does anyone have the power specifications on this motor? I have a marine survey that says aproximately 200HP, a sales add from the guy who sold me the boat that says 283HP, and I thought it was 260HP to match the model #. The engine is from 1990.

I am trying to get my insurance taken care of tomorrow and the actual HP makes a big difference.

If it is a 305 Chevey, it is 225hp. My 280s were equipt with the 305s.

My '83 250A is 146 hp. 4 banger

As far as I always knew, a 260A is a 350 motor putting out 260hp, where-as a 271A is a 350 motor putting out 271hp.... JMHO

Looks like it is a Chevy 350, at 260HP.
