I was wondering if anybody has fished either of these 2 reels? If so how did you like them or if you didn't what did you not like about them. From what I've been reading they are pretty much hot rodded jigmasters with good bearings & drags, also they have the double dog anti reverse in them.

They remind me of the 525-555 gs series but they feel much cheaper. I haven't fished any personally but I'd assume they're fine for local fishing and maybe some schoolie tuna and yellows.

Price = value. They feel very cheap to me but I suppose they are worth what they sell for.

I just picked up a pair on a killer sale. Got the 20 wide with line counter. Haven't fished yet but will this weekend for Neah Bay kings in Washington. $65.00 each

Does it feel cheap? Yes! But so does my Jigmaster 500, that i have been using to sling iron for the past 8+ years! Take care of your shit, no matter what the price and it will take care of you! Go with what you can afford, and just slay!

These reels put the old Jigmasters to shame for similar coin.

Yes, they are inexpensive. So are jigmasters that have slayed tonnage for decades.

If you want the next step up a Squall Star or LD is very capable for the money.

But you aren't going to find more for the money than a Warfare.

The Warfare has a better handle, 2 bearings vs zero, anti reverse (ARB & 2 Abu style silent dogs) and drags than a Jigmaster but both the main and pinion gear are brass. Faster gears too... 5:1 vs 4:1. Only downside vs the Jigmaster is the brass gears but there are many grades of brass just like lots of grades of steel so I wouldn't necessarily hold that against the Warfare.
