    Mine came yesterday without a reel clamp. Just a tad disappointing. Contacting them now. Will let everyone know outcome.

    Update:

    Sending out a clamp free of charge. From the east coast so I’m sure it will take at least a week.

    I bought one online last week. According to fedex tracking the item was dropped off at their facility then the seller requested that it be returned to them. Called cabel's this morning and they said they would look into it. Then I got an email that said the listing price was incorrect and that they were giving me a refund.

    I just got that e-mail also.Since the item was literally on the truck out for delivery today and then canceled mid-shipping I'm a bit angry.Cabelas
    has informed me after a long phone call that the cancellation was done
    by Penn while it was out for delivery.
    Mr. Carson affirmed earlier that there was a special deal to move an unpopular model. If they decided to terminate the deal for whatever reason,I don't think this was the way to handle it.

    Basically if you ordered on the 20th or later your order is cancelled. Such BS, I expect better from Cabelas.

    Yes, I guess I ordered on the morning of the 20th too. It looked liked a great deal on a nice reel, impulse purchase, however don't really need it that bad, although looking forward to getting a new toy and expanding my fishing the jig on my T100. Disappointed but will not loose sleep on this, less likely to shop Cabellas in the future. Good for the guys that got these.

    Fuck Cabelas, same happened with me, it was on the truck for todays delivery. I bought a Carnage II rod for it and string. Over 200 bucks laying on my bench with no home. If Penn fucked up then shallow it and fire the idiot that fucked up, don't do this to loyal customers. Between the two outfits they need to honor a advertised price. As far as Cabelas goes, and BPS they charge full boat for everything, a sale thrown at us from time to time to keep them relative, there are more and better shops for saltwater. I'm sending a email to Penn, I strongly advise everyone else to also, they will hear us, and if they want to ignore, looks like my first Avet will be coming soon,,,gregg

    To cancel an order that is boxed up,shipped and practically at one's doorstep takes quite an effort on someone's part.Cabela's emphatically blamed Penn.

    Holy crap! that sucks guys! I can't believe they cancelled the order mid-shipment! That's horrible! I ordered mine on the 19th and got it Saturday. I did not open it up, but it seems to work very nicely. I feel for you guys that got screwed.

    I went to website to send a email to express my disappointment in them, fucking 500 character limit, really, they don't to hear a well thought out respectful message either. Here it is short hand, "Sirs,, You really showed some bad judgment here, and to make it worse you made another bad judgement recalling my reel. Bye Bye Penn, Hello Avet/Phoenix

    I don’t think this is on Cabela’s. When I ordered mine (which arrived yesterday), the Cabela’s website specifically stated the item was being drop-shipped from Penn.

    Blame Penn.

    Mine was in the truck and on the way to my house when they fucked me over. pissed would be an understatement. I have giving them an ear full. they will not make it right. ass pro and I parted ways years back. Looks like it's over for me and cabelas. I knew it was coming just faster than I had anticipated.

    Saw the tracking changed to return to shipper this morning. Really pissed off. It is scheduled to be delivered today!

    Wrote an email asking why and their reply is wrong price so they called it back??? Huge effort of doing this when the item is shipped already.

    Fuck Penn Fuck Cabela!

    Never buy Penn stuff or from Cabela again!

    What if the mistake wasn’t Penn’s. Should they honor the transaction? Depleted warehouse since someone hit the wrong keystroke?
