Just got off my excel 2.5 day trip and man it was one for the books. The stand outs for the trip for me was JP fish at 107lbs, and a nice 62.7lb BFT on my penn torque 15. I had the reel loaded with 40lb power pro, spliced to a 25ft top shot of 30lb and it worked out flawlessly. I had the reel on a phenix black diamond 20-50 and that set up pulled it’s weight. I hooked the fish on a light sinker rig with 30lb floro, a #1 owner circle hook, and a 4 ounce rubber band sinker. Like they say, “Fish Penn, and let the battle begin!”
