I’m heading out on a trip and according to the boat I need a 100 lb set up for flat falls. I have a bunch of gift cards for a tackle store which would make the reel cost $150 for me. Should I go that route and have the gear for me or should I borrow my buddy’ Accurate and keep saving my penny’s? Honestly this reel would only get fished a half dozen times a year. Thx.

If you want a flat fall setup the fathom 40n is the way to goo, the 60 isnt a very good reel imo. i hate the crossbar. neither are true 100lb rigs. the 40n is a perfect 60lb reel capable of 80. if you wanted to be safe fishing flatfalls you can fish 100 though.
If your renting try to find a Avet HXW rap or a if your at seaforth a Tac 20ii.
It depends on how big the accurate is, if its a 800 you can do 100. If its a 600 it will also work but kinda risky..
