SOLD Penn 80STW

Mint condition Penn 80STW.
This reel was a backup reel on a big boat back in Florida. I used in one trip for HST Wahoo. Would be a great deep drop swordfish rod with big spool and 2 speed. $550 or possible trade for smaller 2 Speeds or rail rods.

Has it been to cal or had any drag/low gear upgrades?

It has not. It sat on a big sportfish back east for years as a backup reel. then in a shelf for more years, then I finally broke it out 2 seasons ago in bahamas to fish Wahoo and it trolled 3 trips and landed 1 fish.

question: I have seen many Penn 80SW and they are 2 speeds , But till you posted this one 80 STW....I know the S stands for 2 speed the W for wide what does the T sand for ?

oh by the way that is a beautiful reel.... someone will be very happy with it...

Good question. All I can see is a google search has a few years production that had the “T” that represented 1 piece tubular frame.
