I saw the post from Mel about an opening for his upcoming PEI trip. After seeing this video and fishing cows with Mel in PV last December I'm tempted, but can't get away due to work.

PEI is an amazing fishery. My buddies ans I were fortunate to experience it a few years back and we all caught plenty of big fish. These fish are huge and really strong.

I still prefer long range fishing out of San Diego. Catching a fish from an anchored boat is really difficult when comparing it to the agility and maneuverability of a small lobster boat. Also the PEI fish we caught in PEI were all caught in less that 100' of water. They simply had nowhere to go.

The region of PRince Edward Island is a beautiful picturesque countryside with green rolling hills. It's unpopulated and very safe. We took our wives who elected to explore and not fish. All in all a great vacation trip.

I am so glad I had the chance to experience PEI, but I still prefer a long range trip.

Release or harvest with one of the few commercial harvest permits and sell it. I am sure Keon's father or grandfather used his commercial permit to harvest it. Or perhaps Keon has a permit of his own. Lucky kid!
