I'm in the military and heading to Oahu for a few days in early July. I've heard that there are peacock bass in the reservoirs there? Does anyone have any info on bass fishing in Oahu? Should I just do the usual and go deep sea fishing instead?

    Thanks for the help.

probably easiest for you to rent a kayak or small boat from schofield and use it to fish lake wilson, you can put in to the left of kemo'o farms as there is a small dock like platform there.

Well, I paddled around that place for two days. Saw a lot of fish. Only caught four. Three "red devils", and one peacock bass. It shook off at the side of the boat and no picture was taken. Therefore, according to the rules of the board... I got skunked. I should have tried live bait as I was advised. Had a good time paddling around though. I'll stick to ocean fishing next trip. Mahalo to all those who gave me advice.
