I ordered a ladder back chair from Parker and they actually sent me the deluxe helm upgrade. Decided to use it on our 2320 demo rather than sending it back. Then I used the stock chair for the duel pedestal seat project in my last thread. I have to say this deluxe helm chair is high end, very comfortable and looks good. You sit up higher and further forward which is great for visibility, but I had to mount an additional foot rest so my feet weren't dangling.

I love my new seat on the Seaspension pedestal and love it sitting higher up.

Very nice. Do you mind my asking what something like that costs? Looks like 90% of the benefit of a Stidd for maybe 30% of the cost? Next to carrying sufficient fuel, having a good comfortable chair is essential to the capability to go LONG.

Sitting up a couple inches higher is really nice. Just feels more correct. I'd love to put a shock mitigating pedestal on...everyone raves about them.

I went this way, but did change the seat back to original and kept suspension John deer suspension seat, $79 with seat. WOrks great. Adjusted to 300 lbs. If it works on a small tractor that can beat the crap out of you it should work for a boat that has a little give in the water. It does.

I had a couple of those on my old Wellcraft. They actually worked great and didn't rust at all. $100 each from Northern Tools.

I am looking to add a new seat and pedestal on my Parker. Can I have your contacts info where you purchased yours?

Ken at West Coast hooked me up with the upgraded chair from Parker, it is awesome, especially for a big guy like me at 350+. I held off on the seaspension post because I'm over the max weight. After having the boat for a while I contacted Seaspension and they made me one with a heavier spring.

OMG, the best money I've spent on the boat, my poor passengers because I don't notice how rough the seas are anymore. It's like riding in an old style caddy.
