Jumped on a 3 day last minute, and I am stoked to get out on the water. It has been ages since I fished the Queen, and I mean ages. SO what should I know about the boat mainly. Any inside info? Boarding, fishing, gear storage, etc. I really appreciate the 411 in advance!

How much freezer space do you have? That's the important question as this boat loads up on BFT every trip it seems. Other than that, good luck have fun.
I have plenty as I just canned the last of my tuna not long ago. Still some yellowtail in there but not much.

Sounds to me like you need 2 setups. 40lb for the school sized 40 to 60 lasers. 100lb for bigger fish at nite on jigs.

My last trip I got zero bites on this jig (the one above). Didn't get any bites on the SK's, Mr. Slow, or Flat Side either.

My only bites came on a 500g glow flat fall knock-off like the ones below.

I just got off this boat. You can see report of 6/14/21 on other forum. Epic trip with like 35 fish over 100lbs. Most of that happened from 12am to 5:30am. It was windy, heavy jigs 250-350gr. On at least 100lb rig. Color of jig didn't matter, as much as getting them straight down in the windy drift. Any less than a 100lb rig, and you were just wasting your time and energy from actually putting one on deck. Night was where it was at. Daytime was mixture of sinker and fly line for smaller grade 15-60lbs.

Boarding is straight forward, and about hour before departure. Line will start early. Better to get there early and board early, as you will be able to get your rods lined up where you want. Tackle storage is on racks, one on each port and stern, three levels. Again, if you on first, you will have spot on higher rack of your choice, rather than kneeling when accessing tackle. Good luck
