So I was fortunate enough to be on the Pacific Queen during an EPIC Blue Fin Tuna BITE! First off thanks to Bill and the crew of this fine fishing vessel, they fish hard and run a top notch business. We left around 8pm, bait already in the tanks, the plan was to fish 140 + and it paid off. We started fishing around 9am scratching Quality Dorado and Yellows off pattys. I had the skunk until I got a nice 20 lb Yellow fin on the troll, then it Began A few yft were caught on bait then the Bluefin showed and were hungry and mean. My first bait in best slammed and I had my first bft of the day and the bite just continued 2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11+ these bft went wide open as fast as you could get a healthy dean going down current you got bit . The size was from 15 to 47 + lbs most under 20lbs all on fly lined sardines . I used a Saltiga 30l, paired with a Calstar 270H 55lb white spectra with 30lb fluoro. I was lucky to get 3 bft over 38 lbs, and a new PB BFT at under 50lbs spring scale varied from 46-49 and it broke! There was a few other BDers that I meet, Good Times I need to go process over 100lbs of fish,
