I got a quote on his 30' walk around, and have ran one a guy owns in Pelican. Nice boat, but not worth what he wants for one in my opinion.

Howard and his crew did a great job when my boat went in to swap out a blown motor. I highly recommend him for any work

I like to think you "get what you pay for" He has built a few boats.... I think the Mayflower might have been a Little Hoquiam. :D

I like the 30' Little Hoquiam sportfish. Although I don't think that hull was originally designed to go much faster than 20 knots.

245k for a boat with no trailer, no power, no electrical systems, no cushions, no seats, no steering, no pumps etc. I had him quote a painted boat with a bracket and all the windows and doors, and fuel tank installed and I would rig all the rest. It was too much. Maybe a reason he has only built and sold 3 or 4 of them. I have nothing against him or his yard as little hoquims have a legendary commercial and pleasure reputation. Just didn't fit with all the other availiable options!

That's outrageous! You could get a fully rigged 22' xtaero for the same price and be money ahead !!

Comparing a 22' anything....especially a production line boat to a 30' custom build is silly.
They don't have prices because they are selling you a hull....how you want it finished is up to you. ...not the assembly line.
Where you will see the real value of a real boat....is in 10 years....when a production boat has only the value a person will pay....a custom build like little hoquim will have a clear value relative to care and maintenance.
Kind of.like the difference of a mobile home and a quality built true custom home.

I have been taking my employees tuna fishing on the Pacific Dream for six years now and have the boat booked again for two days in August. The boat is a great platform for a large group (my boat wont hold 12 people...:-)) and fishes very well. Tom has only run the boat for one trip of the years but seems to be a great guy. I look forward to meeting you Troy, see you in August!
