jumped on the dawn Monday night hoping to get a c bass. We arrived at Santa Cruz loaded with candy and high hopes. Grey light produced some cuda. Between 7-8 we put on 4 quality c bass 35-45 lbs. and a nice halibut in the 35lb range. The yellows started to show on a pick bite with 1-2 going every 10-15 minutes. we managed 20 plus yt in the 18-25 lb range. We left for a bank to fish RF at about 1130, after the bite died. After several drifts, we had near limits of chucks , reds and a few lings.

I managed 2 nice yt and a sack full of rf. Great day, great crew and good to be back at it after not being able to fish in awhile.

yt came on the DL and lead head with a squid pinned on it.

It's easy to be magnanimous about not catching a seabass while holding two nice yellows!
    :D

Sounds like a fun trip, congrats!
