Ok, need some help. I acquired 2 blanks, not sure what's the best use for them...hence I'm asking the experts here. :-)

Pac Bay CB6460XH
Pax Bay CB6450XXH

What's the straight dope on these? I'm looking for heavier "bait sticks" to use for bigger tuna, Marlin, etc... So I'm guessing 60# (XH) and 80# (XXH) is ideal?

I haven't figured out what reels yet, but was leaning toward using a Tiagra 20 & 30 respectively, since I already have them.

Also looking for a referral for someone to wrap them as well.

Tight Lines,

The 6460 means it's a 6 foot E-glass extra fast action and the XH means it's rated 30-80 pound (40-60 reality). The other blank is a 5 footer - same action and likely rated 50-130 (60-80 reality).

Look about right?

Sorry, damn typo on my part.

It's a 6460XXH.
(Both are 6 footers)

So Bill, would you fish 60# on the XH and 80# on the XXH?

Have them built as straight butts or consider a "standup" bent butt to improve the action?

I'm all ears. :-)

Yep! Those would be my recommendations.

The blanks are fast action "stand-up" sticks, so if you use a aluminum butt, shorten the rod roughly by the length of the butt (you'll need a "short" butt) to maintain the blanks designed action. If you just slap the butt to the end of the blank, you will not likely be happy with a fish on the line.

Not sure where you are but the best are Jim Trelikes, Salty Dawg, Moon, and the rest of the talented bunch that are in SoCal.
