Overnight suggestions. Looking to go out this Wed night for an overnight, looking for YTs, calis, and bag fillers. Between T-bird, Freedom, & El Do. thoughts/advice/preferences/considerations.

T-bird has been consistently getting the yellows. Freedom got them today.

All 3 are likely going to be within eye-shot of each other if things continue as is.

Yeah reports all look about the same. Was hoping maybe some insight as far as crew, crowds, boat etc.

T-Bird, older boat, small galley, heads up front, don't remember bunkroom, catch fish consistently....
El Dorado, nice comfy boat with mixed stateroom open berthing. Big galley, big deck, lmy ast time on was in San Diego for tuna and we killed it but was littered with dead heads...….
Freedom, nice boat, nice galley, good crew, small tight bunks but enough that you can put your gear on an empty one. Bait wells kind of suck for anchovies as they are very big. I fish this boat once or twice a year to fill in between charters so I may be biased.

Freedom and Thunderbird are around the same. Freedom seems to do better on yellowtail, Thunderbird on tuna. El Dorado is worse than either of these boats when it comes to surface action, I usually only go on the El Dorado when they're running San Nicolas island trips for cheap.

They got 10 spots the night I plan on going, unless it is a different boat going out of New Port

Better hope on the T-bird. They’ve been killing it lately.

I would call the office and double check. But if you ever book online and it says 8:59pm departure that will be on the aggressor out of Newport landing

I have fished the Freedom and the El Dorado. I have fished the Freedom for surface(yellows, tuna) and the El Dorado for bottom grabbers at St. Nick. I sleep good on both boats. Freedom has a bigger flat screen TV for movies on the way home. Looking forward to first trip on the Thunderbird later this month.

Does the T-Bird do 1.5 days? I swear their booking site is hard to understand. Some days trips cost $139, other days it's $155 and yet other days are $169. Looking for a 1.5 day on it.

I believe Fri and Sat departures are more than Mon, Tue, Wed. Yes, their site is not the best, needs to be updated
