Cortez or Tanner even the backside of SCI are very doable on a 1.5 from Oxnard. Capt Tucker is no asshole, has a very solid following and is very fishy. He has been on the fish, just his Oxnard move for the season. I’m on a 2 day leaving Oxnard to fish BFT on the Ranger 85 this weekend. They also have been killing the cows all season, but it’s now their Oxnard season too. Hope you get to kill some BFT, Chris..

There are plenty of people on the central coast that would like to see a boat or two that would run to the south to fish blue fin. The ability to avoid a 400 mile round trip car ride and free parking is also an incentive. If you are going to run south the Outrider, a 50 foot Delta, is a good boat to do it in. I don't know what the bunk situation is so as long as you don't have to spoon with 9 other guys on a big mattress all is good. Sometimes bait is a problem and weather might slow you down but it's not a difficult run. Plenty of elbow room as well with 10 folks on that boat. Headupaducksass is just another fool with a keyboard. Tucker will have good intel about the fish so if they can be got he will find them, then it's up to the catchers to put them on deck. Go get them!

But there's a good chance of stopping on short boiling albacore between Oxnard and the Tanner :D

Unfortunately, the date does not work for me. The cost of the trip is not a factor.
Fishy hot captain, enough fishing time, 1 complete night fishing in the dark, only 10 people on the boat dramatically increase the odds of not losing a fish because of another anglers actions. I probably would have multiple shots at a kite because I'm not sharing it with 30 other people. Based on boat travel direction, the boat will likely stop on some kelps that no one has investigated yet. The bunk room configuration on the Outrider is extremely good. If the weather is questionable, Captain Tucker is not going to beat me up just to keep the charter money (unlike some other operators). He will cancel the trip or offer a good plan B option. There is a slight chance of being the only sport boat in the entire tuna fleet fishing with Ventura County captured live squid. Obviously, I'm a regular on the Outrider. I like the boat and crew. I hope you guys do well and regardless of catch have fun on your limited load charter !

This is true, Tucker is an amazing captain. Fish just want to die for some reason when he's around haha...

The boiling albacore will be in a pot in the galley.

Dude! You're our of your mind! Oxnard is like a 100mile run to the Cortes while Long Beach is 90. And your talking out of your neck about on of the better captains on the coast. Why? Focus on Long Beach brother and don't worry about the rest...
