Picked up a bro in law to do a look see of closer costal waters and check out the conditions. We were not in a rush and left at 6:30. The Mack's were plentiful from the bell bouy south, down to the pier and out 1-2 miles.
We slid on a 220 heading for the first ten or so then worked out to the 181. Only saw one sprig of kelp that maybe we should have baited but didn't and keep motoring. We trolled C. plugs, thru all the sevenstrand colors/varieties for nada. Great nice water, stuff up in the lower to mid 70°'s. Lots of dolphin and saw a few jumping hard heads. I hope with the warming trend we start seeing more dodo's and ahi.

Thanks for the report! I did the local bank thing on Friday and found less than 6 small kelps - one thing for sure there is a lot of dorado in the water right now. Hopefully the dodos and the ahi gorge the massive bait supply down and start taking our offerings.
