    NFIO - skunk

Bait was ok. 4-6 inch sardines

Water 72.2 degrees inside. down to 69 in between and 72 at the 181.

Ran five miles out turned left and fished the temp break down to Carlsbad Canyon. Continued out to the 181. Found several paddies, metered around the first one and found lots of bait. Saw several pods of porpoise at about twenty miles out.

In the morning we saw seiners at about 15 miles out but they were gone on the trip back.

It has been a dismal July for all including Sports Boats leaving the docks with half loads.
