Fished with shitbird today hoping to shake that dark cloud that now follows me too. Launched at 7:00. Worked some spots south several hours for only a couple of bass. The tide was right and it wasn't looking good. Let one rip.....uh oh.........after many agonizing moments of denial, "Shirtbird, drive the boat and don't look back!". Perfect, fucking perfect. Headed north commando and 1 sock short.

Beat it back up to Oside with the wind chop growing. Tried like hell until 2:30 for one very short whose eyes just migrated to the same side of the head. It just was not to be. Water temps around 59.

Someday we'll get one. Nonetheless, it was a great day on the water.

    :bath:

Thanks for the report. My wife and I will be out on Sunday, probably by the golf ball. We just put in a thru-hull transducer in the boat so we want to see if it still floats. The wife is wondering why I will take her but won't take the dog in case we sink. I told her she can swim better than my dog. what don' t they get.

O.k. I stopped laughing now, seriously, halibut fishing is way too aggravating for me. Stick at it, all that time on the water will payoff eventually.
