Fished with Scarleg and Shitbird today.

Dropped her in at 6:30 and headed north. Pounded sand for a few hours for no joy so tried a few trusty stones in deep water for cod.

Had a steady pick on chuckleheads at first. A 6 foot mako got lunch on the backside of a fine one too under the boat. Turned off the VHF about 9:00 am. :gayfight:

Mauled Scarlegs fine breaky burritos about 10:00.

It got a bit snotty in the afternoon with a very fast drift so we did the old drop and drive routine and picked away some more. We were too busy to eat Shitbirds philly cheesteak sammies.........that's a first!

Called it a day at 4:00 with limits. Scarleg had the hot stick with two goats as well.

Water temps bumped up to 68 and the clarity was good. The sun never came out and vis was pretty bad in the morning with the fog.

It was a great day on the water!!!!!!!!!

    Tight Lines,

    Rick

Very nice! Might give the that a try instead of chasing (burning gas) the fading offshore tuna bite.
