They are starting to dredge the O'side harbor.

Fished the pipe for a few bass. There is a lot of sardines out there, with schools of bonita pushing it to the surface. My friend thew an Alabama rig and landed some nice sand bass. It was all bent up after the second fish. All the bass were released - kept one bonita. I'm going to try a dry brine and the dehydrator.

    dry brine recipe.

Nice sand bass, got a big belly. Thanks for the report and pics. I know a lot of people have been eagerly awaiting that dredge. How was the size of the Bonito? Wonder if the bigger models are still around.

So up to last night I would have thought you can’t make sh%*%%t taste good, but actually took care of some recently caught bones, killed, chilled and cooked properly and they were really good. So I am now giving you a chance....I know others have known this for awhile.

I was hoopnetting last Saturday out of Oceanside, with a good south swell there was legitimate 8 foot waves breaking in the harbor. It was actually pretty sketchy. Glad to see they are finally dredging it.
