Ok - we had a plan, was told by "Larry" of Inseine bait that there would be bait @ 5:30am. We were there, there was NO Fruciking bait. so we went outside and made bait. While were jigging maks, etc. The Indian (Larry's Boat) comes out and starts having their customers jig for bait for a 3/4 trip to the Island.... What what is wrong with Inseine bait co. He's a fricking idiot in terms of business sense. I heard the Indian didn't get to the island til 11:30, then left @ 4:00 Yep 4hrs of fishing pretty sad for those paying customers.

Back on track - We loaded the tank and blasted off - 25' Parker with a big Yami on the back.
As we got within 5mi's of the high spot there were paddies all over the place. We started working them and got a nice dodo on the 1st one - Whew stink off the boat. A few paddies and a bunch of the smaller grade Yellows, and it was time to set up for the tuna. We rode the whole tide sequence out drifting deep maks , surface maks , etc. There were about 6 other boats working the area also, no tuna was seen, marked of spotted. So we went back to working paddies. Got a couple yellows here and there, lost a dorado at one point, then a marlin popped up and we took a caster up and pitched the largest mak in our tank and tried to get it to play. He sunk out after a minute or so. Anyway, worked the area hard most of the day, with 2 sets of eyes in the tower (yea he's got a nice tower on top of the pilot house), then started working in other directions to try and find the damn fish. The Amigo was out there too, but wasn't having much luck either. Water temp out there was from 74.3 - 75.4 dgrs. yep 75 dgr water out by SBI. Sea Turtles everywhere. Water was purple, perfect conditions no wind all day.

Sorry for the late reply, but had to clean fish and gear and honey do's today.

No pics this time How many yellows do you want to see..... Largest was about 15lbs

It's unfortunate, but we have known the guy for years. He doesn't run his own boats and the guys he has aren't very good! Crap -- they SUCK!
It is the worst bait operation In So. Cal.

Wow, you guys made a haul out there!

Thanks for the report. Sounds like there is good potential, the fish just haven't made it yet!
