I vaguely recall having found somewhere, and I think it was a pay-to-use site, that showed all sorts of stuff like wind and current and chlorophyll and water temps.

I am fully aware that I will not be able to do anything to influence any of those things, but in the spirit of "the more you worry the less you need to" what have others seen?

    Terrafin.com

It is a better site then tempbreak. The data is more recent and they have current height/velocity, altimetry as well as SST and Chloro.

$99 a year and worth it to me.

I learned a long time ago not to stress over things beyond my control. The boat goes where it goes based upon the best judgement of the skipper. The conditions are what they are when I get there. Yes, I have been disappointed several times, but there just are no guarantees in life, even less in fishing!

Sailing website - most accurate wind and wave forecast I know of. Some of the LR boats use this site for forecasts.

I deal with it simply - I am going fishing. Where the captain takes me - is where I am fishing.

    My 3rd 10 day, November 2007

Captain: “Looks like there’s some wind and a little rain in the forecast.”

Me: “We’re still going fishing, right?”

    Captain and me, fist bump!

The only things I worry about when fishing is
    1. Can I afford the trip
    2. Can I get the time off of work
    3. Are there enough guys to get the boat off the dock

I leave everything else up to the Captain.

    Thanks!
On Windy - yikes, it shows some nasty stuff coming my way here in Oregon!

In tempbreak- I couldn't get it to go down to HB, but I will play some more.

    Thanks again.

you guys are as bad as duck hunters looking FOR wind and rain :D My blind is only 1/2 hour from the house...I've shot limits during storms, and never seen a duck during storms. No ducks on bluebird days, and just covered on others. I've learned to go when I feel like it...the ducks, and I suspect the fish...don't follow the weather channel ;)

Chlorophyll and water temps make a difference to fish. Wind and rain makes a difference to fishermen.

I’m not worried about wind/weather, I’m worried about my back.
