Finally starting to narrow down the search for a boat and have another question for you guys? Does anyone have any experience with sea pro boats, build quality, ride, etc. Currently looking at a 2000 210 with a 175 hp evinrude. seems pretty good from the pics and the owner claims it is in good shape and running. Let me know what you guys think, thanks.

Good boats as my buddy has one and lives it! The motor would scare me off! Is it a FICHT?

I believe so and the more I read up on the outboard the more it seems like it wouldn't be worth the risk lol.

Walk away on the motor! Get a 4 stroke and Suzuki or Yamaha or buy the boat you want, sell the motor and rigging and put the motor on you like.

    As mentioned...

Worth buying if you can buy a outboard for it when the ficht dies.

The outboard could explode tomorrow or last 10 years but everyone thinks they suck for a reason.

Flip side is that if it's been running this long it's probably one of the good ones.

It’s a buyers market . No need to purchase a 19 year old 2 stroke that was not highly regarded, imho.

If it was a carbed Yamaha I’d say maybe.

    That’s a nice boat

My last boat was a 21’ CC, in my opinion CC’s are one of the most versatile boats when it comes to our local fishery. Being able to walk around the entire boat without having to step onto this or hold on to that makes me wants another. However, the long wet rides on the runs back from Catalina makes me think twice about getting another.

Agree 100 percent , being from norcal cc is wet ride however have seen some pilothouse cc that would do the job. Pass on the ficht.

As recreational fisherman/boaters we, as a group look at the glass as half full. Time is short. Unless you truly enjoy the project part of the equation......Buy the one that needs nothing cept to go fishing. Tom.

What year is that motor? I have an Etec 2011 150hp and LOVE it! Shocked by it all honestly. Take care of her and she takes care of me. Ive heard nightmares on FICHTs, but there lemons and limes in all of em. However I have an older model hull, Robalo 18, foam filled and weighs over 3k lbs. The 2 stroke is needed for the torque. Dry boat with 4 people on it. Shocks all of my how well this thing rides. Not sure about seapro hulls...

I believe it's a 2000. Yeah getting a lot of mixed reviews on the FICHTs some people love them and most people hate them lol.

21ft CC you will probably have deeper V hull on most you are looking into. If it were me, assuming that the hull is in good/decent shape, I would probably be a little more focused on the motor - assuming you are not trying to repower it anytime soon. Constant motor issues would drive me nuts, id rather have confidence in my motor while boating and storing.
