Beautiful Fish! Were you guys in the kelp, or just near it? Near any structure?

Not trying to get the spot, just curious what kinda structure they were keyed to. They have tails, after all. : D

Thanks brother appreciate it would be awesome to tag a full limit of these tankers Forsure
We came we saw we conquered
MAC was kept at 30ft deep
:) you already know they were on the trip!
My new favorite setup my BH89 with the 16DC for lighter jigs

Fellow Uplander I’ve learned that over time those locals that get upset are usually more upset because they go and go and go and can’t catch what they want and some random shows up and gets it the first try lol
Yeah I saw you at the wash off nice boat btw!

Right turn or left turn out of the harbor?

Have the next few weeks off and have been doing the same thing when I have been able to get on the water.

    Thanks for sharing

Good question, process of elimination; a right turn means covering about 3 miles to MLPA. A left turn is endless.

    Pretty sure it's the Creek.

Go get em the next couple of weeks!

Roger that... but how? Curious To learn if there is a specific technique people are using to suspend Baits at a certain depth, or if this was 30’ deep water or an approximation.

    Always learning.

They put a ballon or float 30 ft up the line. The fish can then go only 30 ft deep. It doesn’t guarantee the fish will not keep swimming higher in the water column, but normally they don’t. Put a sliding egg sinker and it will keep down at the depth you set the float or balloon.

In addition to the balloon thing, some people can see their rig on the meter. It marks at 30', it must be at 30'. Likewise, some people mark their spectra, or have the multi-colored spectra that gives them a depth indication. And the guys with line counters on their reels.
