WDFW posted North Coast Halibut catch totals a 5 days later than the other areas. Math issues?

I’m not buying that success rate for the 9th & 11th. Lots of folks fished close to home with the offshore small craft advisory and came back to the dock empty handed... We didn’t get our last fish until 6pm. So it was a grind for many even if you went offshore.
But what do you do? Lots of quota left. Interesting to see how long it lasts.

There wasn’t even a checker to be seen when I came back in, maybe they are sitting in the restaurant counting heads?

I'm thinking a PDR is in order for all records and documents used to estimate catch numbers..
Time to shed some light on these shady mother f'rs.

If only there was like a spread sheet that you could like put formulas into and when you dropped on numbers it would like calculate them.

Read: need more tax revenue for training

Yeah. I was thinking this. But seems like the checkers just check a few and then extrapolate that out to all boats that leave the marina. Probably not much to PDR but worth seeing if they add in any funny math beyond that.

No way 26k lbs was caught Mother’s Day weekend. Neah was a ghost town compared to years past. Not a single launch line at any point and lots of boats staying inshore due to weather.

I’m more shocked at how much people suck at catching one of the more stupid bottomfish. It’s either that or the biomass is truly depleted.

I guess you can lump me into the group of people that suck at catching one of the more stoopid bottom fish, Miles.

It started 2 years ago. Last year I gave up and went to Neah to get mine. This year I fished the first 2 days on my normal grounds with no results. Said f it and went to Neah for the next 2 open days, nothing... Last saturday, fished it hard, nothing.

Oh, Im not alone, none of the guys that fish in that area of water have caught anything.

Guess we all forgot how to do it Miles?
