Way to whack and stack em !!
Why would you shoot a whole set of quadruplets tho ?
Greedy bastards. Good job
How much meat is that?
Hunting is mean!
Seriously though, way to go! That's some good eatin right there.
Very nice....Wyoming? How is antelope meat? My dad shot a trophy lope a long time ago, and said the dog wouldn't eat the meat. Back then, they didn't take care of the meat as well as possible. Hope all is tasty...
Awesome job! We didn't get drawn for crap this year in Wyoming. Glad to see you whackin and stackin… Happy Jealous!
Antelope meat is incredible, it has to be bled, get the hide off as soon as possible - talking like 30 minutes and bone it out, then elevated meat above ice in cooler to final bled out. If it taste like sage or shit, then someone left the hide on in the back of the truck or didn't cool it quickly....
That’s what I’m talking about. There’s no whacking and stacking in Washington unless you own a thousand acres of private land. I guess growing up in Iowa and living down south I got spoiled.
Good show Trav! For those that don’t know, Antelope meat is gamely and all but unpalatable. Best thing to do is contact me to dispose of it safely. Oh and try and keep those bear paws off those horns/antlers Travis it makes them look smaller than they are lol. Also how many prickly pears did you get into?
Speed goats are the best next to Wapiti.
Really happy with my creedmoor. Everything my rifle pointed at died. Buck antelope was at 435 yards cross canyon on the run, does were 279 and dropped in their tracks. Mule buck 458 yards up hill. One of the guys killed his buck at 632 yards heavy side wind. Gillette wy and Kaycee. There is thousands of hunters in the deer units. Looked like pearrygin on the opener. Met a bunch of cool people from kentucky, michigan, texas, arkansas. And ended up with 90,000 acres of land to hunt next year for Elk, goats and deer. Epic trip lots of memories, ate like kings. Picking up our meat in buffalo and headed towards home.
Agree very important...….otherwise they get the name prairie carp.....
I have 3 speed goats, my muley buck and 2 antelope buck capes and it barely allowed for 8# of dry ice in my 205 quart esky
Gillette is awesome! I hunted goats there once. I keep trying to go back. Sounds like your happy with that creedmoor. What grain bullet do you shoot out of it? What kind of velocity do you get?
143 ELDX 2780 fps. Not super fast but super accurate
So cool. And cant wait for next year. Looks like you sir are dialed in!
My nephew bought one he shoots the same bullet. He consistently hits a 10” gong at 600 yards. He shoots a lot. He loves it too.
Tried the breakfast sausage last night. Unreal great flavor. Look up Big horn meats in Buffalo WY. They turn up to 320 animals a day thru their shop. In a 10 minute period a deer came out of the cooler thru a saw and was in steak and burger form. With another finishing 3 minutes behind it. In the elk storage there was 2 guys skinning and 1 guy caping. On site taxidermy for those who chose to do so.
