The three wise men had a star to guide them in the promised land but we were three old men hoping to just find the promised land. After a three hour cruise a storm hit us but it wasn’t the kind of storm that hit the Minnow and marooned Gilligan, the Skipper, and the Professor with Ginger and Mary Ann.:D:D

Instead, the Kukoa was hit by a surprise, in-the-blind, double strike as we cruised northwest of BO this past Sunday.:eyepoppin Getting old sucks but one good thing about having the privilege of getting old is that, if you’ve paid attention, you’ve got some experience.;) We called on that experience and, after mixing in some elbow grease, managed to get both ahi into the boat! :High_FiveYahoo!:High_Five Got the monkey (and also Ginger and Mary Ann:oops:) off the boat and made it home in time for our noon time nap too!;) In the pics below, that’s the Skipper/Ken on the left and the Professor/Jimmy on the right; Gilligan is taking the photos.

Mahalo to Steve/Akemi Too for the extra ice at the ramp; hope you get yours next time out. Go gettum guys; seems like they ain’t here en masse yet, but if we can get lucky, you can too!

    Courtland, Ken and Jimmy...
Cheee!!! Nice fish, don't ever give in to age, its way over rated. Though I agree, as the years accumulate, you gotta use your experiences. Great day, congrats and great to hear from you again.

    Cheers
    Pat

Congrats Ken, Jimmy and Courtland on the nice double Ahi! Great job, especially because you guys did it on a 16’ boat that barely had enough room for three people let alone 2 Ahis! Gives me motivation to get back out there!

Thanks, guys; hope you're lucky too next time you get out.

Good luck in the Ahi Shootout tomorrow, Steve! Karma is on your side. Looking forward to your post with the results.

Thanks, Darren; when old like us, no can go solo, takes a team!

Thanks Pat and they gonna have to pry the fishin' pole from our cold dead hands so no worry. LOL But nowadays gotta win the fight with smarts not muscle. Hope to post more often, neglected to do so for this marlin we got on my boat a couple/three weeks ago.

Always look forward to your posts for inspiration to get out there.

Thanks, Mark. At times it did sorta feel like a long march.:)

Mahalo, Don; go gettum way over there in the wespac. We had sashimi to our heart's content.

    Thanks, Chuck, go get yours!

Thanks, David; I hope it inspires Ken to get a bigger boat!;)

Thanks, Russ! You do the same on a boat that's even smaller! Good going on getting the monkey off your boat already; now it's off Ken's boat too, but the one on my boat is growing! I hope we can get out there together again; last time was productive.

Mahalo, Brian; we went sleep good that night too!
