Reserved a spot on the Old Glory 1.5 day trip leaving Friday and returning Sunday.
One of the absolute best times I’ve had on the water. The quality of these bluefin and yellowfin swimming around out there are amazing.
Captain Kley of the Old Glory took us 100miles out to the Cortez banks and had us fishing first thing in the morning.
It was a steady bite all day with a minimum of 3-4 fish hanging at all time and flurries of chaos of lots of people hooking up at the same time.
Jr or as some guys called him “Lewis” did an excellent job with the gaff and getting people’s fish on board. Almost all the fish were in the 40-80lb bluefin, yellowfin range with the exception of 1 skipjack caught. I’d highly recommend fishing this boat asap while the fish are biting. I had a great time catching fish with a good crew, delicious food. 40lb mono with a top shot of 40 fluro was the ticket.

I fished with Kley and the boys Monday at the bank and had a similiar experience. Kley, Doug, Junior, Chris, and the crew run a first class operation. Kley is a great skipper and def passionate about getting fish over the rail. Happy thanksgiving
