Annual trip was a success in regard to Yellowtail and "BIG" Roosters. Started out trip by hanging in Cabo San Jose for a week with the wife before heading to fish. Although the target was Yellowfin, the East Cape of the Sea of Cortez was just too cold at the time for the Yellowfin to be there in numbers like past years.. Stayed in LosBarriles with an awesome friend for 8 days for 6 days fishing then headed to LaPaz for 5more nights with 3 additional days of fishing. In LosBarriles we got a few decent Striped Marlin, some smaller Roosters, a bunch of delicious African Pompano, a couple Amberjacks, some peanut Yellowfin and a few Dorado. Great fun again with a great group of guys and seeing friends from the area we stay at.... After hanging there for over a week, Me and another buddy decided to head to LaPaz and target Roosters and Yellowtail. My goal was a Rooster over 50lbs, and boy did I meet that objective - On same day I got my 80lb Rooster - Cock-A-Doddle-Doo! My buddy got a 60lb and a 70lb Rooster! I had my big one on while photo bombing his piggy Rooster! We lost two pigs also... Next day, also had a great day of Yellowtail, most 25-30lbs. We also caught a bunch of White Bonito -fun, but even though Captain swore they were delicious fresh, we gave most of them to him... My FinNor Marquesa's and Terez Rods performed flawlessly again! See you again in Oct - Mexico! Miss you already!
