I think Utah vs tOSU would be a nice match-up with an unmatched story line in Kyle Whittingham vs Urban Meyer bringing it back full circle to where it began.

Oh dear, um well, I think I am going to refrain from any smack talk until I get a chance to see how the bucknuts respond to that beatdown. Utah has been looking fantastic.

If it happens, it will be one of the better bowl game matchups. There is a lot of ball to be played so we shall see what happens.

Agree, still 5 games to be played and a lot can happen. Recent history had Utah wilting in November as the injuries piled up. Right now they are relatively healthy, but we're holding our breath and taking one game at a time.

It's #1 vs #3 this weekend and the #3 in the 1st poll has never made the final 4... but I'm rooting for LSU! I don't think tOSU will make it as a 1 loss team with the beat down they took from Purdue but we'll see how it plays out.

Perhaps the San Diego County Credit Union Holiday Bowl for both our teams is more like it. I can see the Buckeyes dropping a couple more games very easily.

Urbs marriage counseling skills seem to be effecting his coaching skills or something. Very strange year in college football.

I’d be in a post ankle surgery walking boot anyway. It’s my seemingly annual pre-Thanksgiving foot surgery. Couple of osteotomies with plenty of hardware to realign the Varus Ankle, plus some arthroscopy to remove two large bone spurs.

After reading this, I am surprised you didn’t create the “Utah football in November” thread first T. I wish you well and good luck in the Holiday Bowl bro.:D

I will concur that the Utes have a good team and a pretty decent season going, however with all things being fair, this is very close, if not already a 59171530-3E8C-46C0-BCEA-B65E0D41E418.gif

I am still rooting for them:D

We’ll see how the back-up QB performs. He looked good in Spring and Fall Camp. However, he is a true dual threat QB who will run and that puts him at risk. After that we have a walk-on who was awarded a Scholly. He too looked good in spring camp.

If teams expect to compete for a conference Championship or a Natty, they must have some depth on the roster these days. The injury to Huntley is going to test the depth of the QB position and the teams resolve at Utah. Given the talent of some of the kids these days, it would not surprise me if either or both of those you mentioned come in and perform admirabley.

Much like what happened at Clemson earlier, Tuttle has got to be thinking WTF, why didnt I wait until the end of the season to decide what to do in the future. Murphy’s law just slapped that kid and his dad upside the head.

And November just keeps on giving.....

    https://www.sltrib.com/sports/utah-utes/2018/11/09/utah-running-back-zack/

    Updated: 54 minutes ago
Utah running back Zack Moss injured his knee in practice Wednesday and will miss Saturday’s game vs. Oregon and likely the rest of the season, The Salt Lake Tribune has learned.

Weekly media access to coach Kyle Whittingham ended Tuesday. The program typically announces season-ending injuries; Utah Athletics is not addressing Moss' status.

Moss, a junior from Florida, has rushed for 1,092 yards in nine games and was on track to break Utah's single-season and career rushing records with three regular-season games remaining, plus a bowl game.

His injury came after junior quarterback Tyler Huntley, Moss' high school teammate, sustained a broken collarbone in last Saturday's loss at Arizona State. Huntley will be out for at least Utah's remaining three regular-season games, the school said this week.

Moss' absence means that junior Armand Shyne, who has rushed for 166 yards on 37 carries, will become the starter in the one-back offensive scheme. Redshirt freshman TJ Green has run 15 times for 91 yards. Devin Brumfield, a freshman, has appeared in two games. Coaches have hoped to redshirt Brumfield, who could play in four games this season and still preserve a year's eligibility.

Hold it a minute T, if memory serves correctly, you were saying Tate Martell was undersized and not a D1 college guy, despite never loosing a high school game at Gorman.

Now Shelley gets thrust into the action due to injury and no help from Tuttle. Shelley is listed as the same size as Martel. Were you just being a Scrooge as it relates to Martel and the Buckeyes or were you trying to say that a guy of that size is good enough for Utah and the PAC Conference, but not good enough for the Buckeyes and the B1G?

    Busted bro:D

Oh dear, that is a major loss for the Utes, sorry to hear that. May leave me no choice but to vacate the Utes wagon.

I knew that, but had to throw that shot out there T.

To answer your question yes he has, but not much and he played well when given the chance. I was surprised Urb didn’t put him in on a couple other occasions. Martel’s mobility seems to fit some of situations and what they have been lacking at the time. Really don’t understand what is going on at tOSU and I am beginning to wonder if Urb does either.

Maybe something changes for these last few games, but the way that defense has looked all year, I doubt it.

Well Utah just suffered two devastating blows to their offense. Moss and Huntley were the bulk of their offensive production. Next guys up will have to seize the opportunity and produce, or this season goes down in flames.
