So, say it's Summer. Water looks perfect.

You're 30 miles offshore with your crew, maybe on a paddy. No mask / fins/ spear. Do you jump in to cool off?

Funny you ask that.

A couple times this past summer, it got HOT out there!

one day in particular at the 43, I really wanted to jump in.

I just couldn't do it as I was sure as soon as I got in the tax man would show up.

I think its all in my head though as I have no problem getting in at the beech. :-)

All the time - when is the last time you heard of a mako attacking a swimmer?

I remember a 600 lber that was speared by a diver on a paddy a few years ago. Shark charged, he shot it through the mouth up into the spine killing it almost instantly.

Yes, you can probably drop over to cool off, but the rest of the day you'll have that shitty feeling salt film all over your body.

We do it all the time. A quick fresh water washdown to be not so salty afterwards. Just bought a Rinse Kit so we will be using that this year. Just crew, never passengers.

All the time. Just watch the current. Sometimes it makes getting back to the boat a bit difficult.
