My favorite all around Penn is a 500 with the Newell 99 kit.It will throw an iron or an Anchovy.Of all the reels i have the two 99's i own have probably caught most of my fish.

Torque 25N. Tons of drag, smooth, feels solid, can jig iron with it all day. Love it!

For me it would have to be my star drag Fathom 25N with the 4.8:1 gear ratio swap, I call her my "poor mans" TRQ 25N. Very versatile reel, whether it's out with me vertical jigging at the Cape by Big Sur or when it's out slinging iron at the Channel Islands, it does its job very well.

My favorite Peen reel is the one that has a fish on it at the time. As far as I can remember here in Texas fishing for catfish my uncles only used Peen Peer reels aka open faced reels. People talk trash about some of Peen reels being made oversseass. Look at the shit around your house and your cars. 90% of that stuff sure as hell wasnt made in the USA. I dont condone it, but get over it. Penn fucking rocks. Tex.

would defiantly say my long beach 60 & 65 upgraded drags. (awesome reel to cast surface iron on) second place would be my Penn monofill no.25 w/ upgraded drags (caught a 41lb white seabass and took it like a champ) :)

I love all my newest penn toys, but for me it’s going to be damn near impossible to replace my 113HN Baja Special, it has just to many good times attached to it.

I really like both my Torque 12 & 25n star drags. I use the 12 for live bait and the 25n for jigging. Have both paired with Phenix Axis rods.
